週刊ST「これであなたも英文記者」2005/11/4日号の課題は『「七五三」について、40ワードまでで説明してください。また、参考までに日本語訳も付けてください』でした。

◎11月4日号の私の応募作：
Shichigosan is one of the Japanese traditional event celebrating growth of children. During mid-November, children such as 3-year-old boys and girls, 5-year-old boys and 7-year-old girls wear gala kimono and go to pray local Shinto shrines with their parents and grandparents.

自分和訳：
七五三は、子どもの成長を祝う日本の伝統行事である。11月中旬にかけて、晴れ着を着た3歳の男の子と女の子、5歳の男の子、7歳の女の子は、両親や祖父母に連れられて、地元の神社に参詣する。
